Learning to swim can be fun and foster a child’s life-long love of the water. Sanford Wellness Center offers swimming lessons at both of our locations for children of all skill levels. Find lesson schedules and class descriptions below.

Parent & Child/Preschool; Swimming Strength and Stroke
Parents must accompany their child in the water for levels I, II and III. 30 minute sessions are held for four weeks. Parent and Child Levels 1 and 2 classes are once a week. Parent and Child 3; Preschool Levels I, II & III and Swimming Strength and Stroke classes are all twice a week.
- Parent & Child Level I (6 months to 18 months)
- Parent & Child Level II (19 months to 36 months)
- Parent & Child Level III (3 year olds)
- Preschool Levels 1 - 3 (4-6 year olds)
- Swimming Strength and Stroke Class (Levels IV and higher)
All classes are located in the Therapy Pool except for the Swimming Strength and Stroke class which is located in the Main Pool.
Red Cross Swimming Lessons - Levels I-VI
Swimming lessons follow the American Red Cross guidelines and are taught by a certified Water Safety Instructor. All Red Cross Swimming Lessons are twice a week. Learn to Swim Levels I and II are 30 minutes each, and Levels III-VI are 40 minutes each. The American Red Cross charges $5.00 per student for processing fee.
