Swimming Lessons

Red Cross Swimming Lessons - Spring Session


Parent & Child/Preschool; Swimming Strength and Stroke

Definitions:

  • Parent & Child Level I (6 months to 18 months)
  • Parent & Child Level II (19 months to 36 months)
  • Parent & Child Level III (3 year olds)
  • Preschool (4-6 year olds)
  • Swimming Strength and Stroke Class (Levels IV and higher)

Class Location:
All classes are located in the Therapy Pool except for the Swimming Strength and Stroke class which is located in the Main Pool.

Which classes do parents need to be in the water?
Parent & Child Levels I, II & III

Length and times of sessions: 

  • Four week session for 30 minutes
  • Infant and Toddler classes are once a week
  • Preschool Levels I, II & III and Swimming Strength and Stroke classes are all twice a week.


Red Cross Swimming Lessons - Levels I-VI

Definition:
Swimming lessons follow the American Red Cross guidelines and are taught by a certified Water Safety Instructor.

Length and Times of Sessions:

  • All Red Cross Swimming Lessons are twice a week
  • Learn to Swim Levels I and II are 30 minutes each
  • Levels III-VI are 40 minutes each

The American Red Cross charges $5.00 per student for processing fees.
